Internationally. Unit in California (HQ in Europe) has launched a huge market expansion plan and need a talent for this position
Sales and Marketing Manager.
This position does not require relocation and although we expect a lot of travel with this position, it will allow this individual to work from their home office.
The CEO is looking for a right hand person. This person. will be provided an exciting
opportunity to establish systems, processes and procedures; which are currently
weak for the current sales team of 10.
You will be able to create your own Infastructure.
Future projects will include trend analysis, pricing
strategies, market research, establishing short/long term sales strategies.

SALES MANAGER
The Sales Manager position is responsible for the sales of offered products
and services for the company. The responsibilities of this position primarily
include the management of our Marketing and Sales Teams. This position requires
a strong leader with a high skill set including the abilities of developing,
planning, directing, analyzing and coordinating the market expansion of VAS
products and services by applying a strategic plan.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop new markets and customers, with an
emphasis on building lasting relationships
- Develop short and long term sales plans and
strategies to achieve goals
- Review operational records and
reports to project sales and determine profitability
- Monitor customer preferences to
determine focus of sales efforts
- Identify, develop, or evaluate
sales strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market
characteristics, and costs
- Confer or consult with department
heads and marketing team to plan promotion and advertising services
- Evaluate the financial aspects of
product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and
development appropriations, or return-on-investment and profit-loss
projections
- Develop pricing strategies,
balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction
- Initiate market research studies
and analyze findings
- Use sales forecasting and/or
strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of product lines
and services by analyzing business developments and monitoring market
trends
- Coordinate or participate in
promotional activities or trade shows, working with management and the
teams to market products or services
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage local and regional sales
staff in the Americas region
- Oversee International Sales Manager for Non-Americas
- Oversee Marketing Manager
- Direct the hiring, training, or
performance evaluations of sales and oversee their daily activities
- Evaluate workflow of departments and
ensure that company’s needs are met
- Act as liaison with customer
service concerns when needed
- Analyze markets for budgeting and
forecasting
- Prepare budgets and approve budget
expenditures for the sales team
- Document policies, procedure, and processes
- Communicate and enforce company policies and/or
procedures
- Establish strong and effective working
relationships with management teams, employees, and customers
MARKET RESEARCH RESPONSIBILITIES
- Seek and provide information to
help VAS determine its position in the marketplace
- Gather data on competitors and
analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution
- Devise and evaluate methods and
procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or
questionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data
- Monitor industry statistics and
follow trends in trade literature
- Measure and assess customer and
employee satisfaction
- Measure the effectiveness of
marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.
- Forecast and track marketing and
sales trends, analyzing collected data
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years’
experience working in a similar role or capacity
- Education required for this position is a four
year Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business Administration, Agricultural
Business, Sales & Marketing or related field; or the equivalent education
and experience
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a
management capacity, with a proven
ability to lead people
- Must possess long and short-term planning and
execution skills
- The ability to quickly acquire and apply complex
product knowledge
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent communication and presentation
skills
- Must have 5+ years of dairy industry experience and
be able to firmly grasp technology.
